Na een poliklinische ingreep

You have undergone an outpatient procedure (minor surgery) in the Department of  Orthopedics or Surgery. We would like to give you some advice on pain management and follow-up care.

Pain management

The anesthetic usually wears off after two to three hours. Depending on the nature of the procedure, you may experience light to moderate pain afterwards. This pain can usually be relieved effectively with over-the-counter painkillers such as paracetamol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. Look for the correct dosage in the instructions.
